Company Profile Projects - The firm's project list is extensive and indicates many
repeat clients; possibly the highest recommendation a consulting
engineering firm can achieve. These projects have included educational
facilities, libraries, retail stores, banks, restaurants, supermarkets,
office complexes, malls, postal facilities, multi-family residential,
high rise, and park/recreational facilities.
Clients - Our clients cover the eastern seaboard from the
Carolinas to Canada. Today's electronic information transfer technology
has virtually eliminated geography as a factor. Instead, a client can
now choose the best firms without concern of physical location.
Commitment - Lindgren & Sharples, P.C. is uniquely qualified to manage
projects both large and small. Our management philosophy is to tailor
the design team to match the level of effort necessary to meet the
project schedule with the expertise and experience required for the
project's particular requirements. Our commitment to project management
is best illustrated by our pledge of having a Principal of the firm
involved in each and every project regardless of size. He is
responsible for the general project management. For smaller projects,
he may be the only team member.
Management - Larger projects require a management style, which will give
progressive direction and a more detailed schedule with critical
milestones positively, identified. A project plan is then established
incorporating the detailed schedule to insure the milestone dates are
achieved. This requires a team effort. The Principal then acts as
Project Director. A Project Manager is then assigned and is responsible
for the day to day activities of each technical discipline required to
meet the project objectives. Projects requiring a heavy manpower
assignment may require a team leader for each discipline to meet the
project commitments of the Project Manager.
Tracking - Our team members are supported by a full-time Administrative
and Accounting Staff. At the beginning of each project, hourly budgets
are established for each task, and staff assignments are made and
scheduled for each phase of the project. Project performance is
monitored weekly via our computer network system. The information is
gathered on a regular basis using standard spreadsheet and data base
programs to provide up-to-date information of project performance and
scheduling quickly, efficiently, and with greater detail than is
possible with manual methods.
Quality - Lindgren & Sharples, P.C. is dedicated to its embedded Quality
Assurance Program. From each project's inception to its final
completion, senior staff is involved for consistent coordination among
team members. Quality reviews are initiated near the end of each task
and a construct ability review of the final construction documents is
completed prior to the issuance of Plans and Specifications for
construction.
Involvement - In addition to our weekly staff meetings, design review
meetings are scheduled for each project. The project team presents its
project design to the senior staff, where a variety of design
considerations and/or alternate methods are explored. The free exchange
of ideas is beneficial for everyone involved and adds to the quality of
the project.
Technology - Lindgren & Sharples, P.C. is committed to providing
state-of-the art computer services. Our heavy investment in the latest
technology of both computer hardware and software is an on-going
commitment and part of our corporate philosophy in providing the best
service possible for all our clients. In addition to our multi-task CAD
stations, our software library includes programs for code reviews,
equipment selection, computer assisted modeling, design, project
management, and various administrative functions. |
